Local Expertise. Global Connections.
When clients choose Solomon Alabi to work with, they’ve aligned themselves with a real estate broker whose leadership communication, discipline, resilience, and collaboration make them an unstoppable team ready to sell their home or make the winning offer. It just so happens that Solomon honed these skills during his professional basketball career. As a positive, purposeful listener and gentle giant, he still maintains his competitive edge when representing clients during negotiations. And of course, his height quite literally allows him to provide a unique perspective on Northwest homes. Solomon has cultivated a business of trust and reliability, founded on transparency and communication to create an experience that exceeds expectations for buyers and sellers alike. Born in Nigeria, Solomon came to the United States during high school and attended Florida State University, where he earned his degree in the social sciences. He played two years in the NBA with the Toronto Raptors, then went on to have a successful career overseas in Greece, Taiwan, the Philippines, and Japan. He and his family ultimately settled in the Northwest, brought here by his wife’s profession, and as an ideal community to raise their family. While it makes sense that an international seasoned professional athlete, who is not only from overseas, but has ample experience abroad would align himself with Sotheby’s International Realty®. The brand proudly emphasizes its strength in helping clients find homes around the corner and around the world. But it was the relationships he built with Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty brokers that encouraged him to pursue a career in real estate. When Solomon approached real estate as a first-time buyer, he felt ill-equipped. Now as a broker, he wants to help navigate that process amidst a fast-paced market, ensuring that each experience is empowered and positive. Along with award-winning marketing and a team of real estate professionals working behind the scenes to support Solomon and his clients, Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty was the perfect fit for a man of his stature. When he’s not supporting his clients to achieve their real estate goals, he can often be found at the Washington Athletic Club, where he keeps his basketball skills sharp. A skilled athlete, you may also be able to talk him into a pick-up game of pickleball. He lives in Shoreline with his wife and two daughters and participates in his neighborhood dad biking group.
