Sara DeCosta Hayes

Sara is a lifelong Rhode Islander and current resident of Middletown, Rhode Island. Growing up in Warwick and attending Providence College, Sara is well known for bringing home Olympic Gold and Silver medals in women’s ice hockey as the goalie for Team USA. She had an amazing eight-year career with the team, including being named USA Hockey Player of the year in 2000 and 2002.

Sara has coached at Harvard University, Providence College, and Nobles and Greenough School, and loves volunteering her time working with the youth of Rhode Island, whether it’s on the ice or by visiting countless schools to inspire young adults to follow their dreams. In 2012, she and fellow Olympian Vicki Movssesian-Lamoriello founded the all-girls Rhode Island Sting youth hockey organization. She is also currently helping assist the St. George’s Girls Ice Hockey Team where her daughter is in the class of ‘23.

Sara uses all the characteristics that it takes to be an Olympic athlete in her work. She is passionate, dedicated, and driven, bringing these qualities to her clients. With14 years experience of owning and managing rental properties on Aquidneck Island, Sara loves sharing her knowledge of the area. She is also licensed in Massachusetts. When Sara is not in the office or with a client, you can find her with her husband Mark and three children at the rink, beach, gym, or golf course.
