Local Expertise. Global Connections.
Mary Kelley found her home in Sonoma County when she discovered its rich agricultural diversity and natural beauty while a student at the University of California, Berkeley in the 1980s. Mary has been actively involved in her community as a teacher in Sonoma County Public and Private Schools. The highlight of her teaching projects included Trout Unlimited’s Steelhead in the Classroom Project. She continued as an educator in her role as the Executive Director of the Healdsburg Certified Farmers’ Market, and as a columnist for the Healdsburg Tribune. She was treasurer of Friends of the Russian River and the Russian River Keeper. Mary is currently involved with her community as a member of Healdsburg Rotary, Healdsburg Garden Club, and Alexander Valley Ladies Aid. She serves on the board of directors for Alexander Valley Association, and Friends of the Healdsburg Farmers’ Market, which she cofounded. Mary values the broad reach of Healdsburg/Artisan Sotheby’s International Realty, which provides local, Bay Area, and international marketing. Her business is built around strong customer relations, professional service, and her ability to help people meet their goals in real estate transactions. Mary was raised on her family's second generation farm, on the alluvial soil of the Colorado River in Brawley, California. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics of Natural Resources from UC Berkeley, and she continues to enjoy learning about the land. She maintains an established fruit orchard and walnut grove on her farm in Alexander Valley, along with a dozen chickens and other rescued animals. Mary enjoys exploring rivers, mountains, books, history, and traditional farming practices.
