Dewey Bakken

Dewey Bakken has been working in the Twin Cities real estate market for over forty years. In the summer of 2009, he joined Lakes Sothebys International Realty in Edina. Dewey aspires to provide exceptional, personal service to buyers and sellers of homes. After countless transactions, he is still thrilled every time his client finds the perfect home or feels great about the sale of their property as a result of his assistance. It is always an honor for Dewey when his clients return for a second, fifth, eleventh or in one case, seventeenth additional real estate transaction.
A graduate of the Minnesota School of Business, he began working in sales and management with United Parcel Service before embarking on a long real estate career at Bermel Smaby in 1967. In 1978, Dewey co-founded Great Minneapolis Real Estate Company in Southwest Minneapolis. Dewey has a particular penchant for residential and investment real estate, and as an active eminent domain commissioner for Hennepin and surrounding counties, his goal with all of his clients remains the same - to help make life better for others.
